During the King and Queen of Spain’s vacation in Mallorca, Queen Letizia has made her mark with a series of attention-grabbing summer looks.
Although so far, the traditional family pose has not taken place, in previous years we have seen how the family has posed at various spots on the island.
Queen Letizia’s summer style in Mallorca
We will review the last six summer styles of Queen Letizia from 2018 to 2023, where Spanish fashion and handcrafted accessories have been the protagonists.
The first dress in 2018
In 2018, Queen Letizia opted for a dress in her family pose, marking the first time she did so for this occasion.
The Spanish consort chose an Ibiza-style design in an ecru tone, with midi length, openwork and sleeveless by Hugo Boss.
To complete her Ibiza-inspired look, she added a Carolina Herrera clutch bag and beige wedge espadrilles by Spanish brand Mint & Rose, tied at the ankle with ribbons. She also wore Chanel star earrings.
Floral innovation in 2019
A year later, Queen Letizia continued the tradition of the dress with espadrilles, but this time with a floral twist. In 2019, for the pose in the gardens of the Marivent Palace, she chose a dress with floral print, midi length and V-neckline by Adolfo Domínguez’s U de Adolfo Domínguez.
She had already recycled this design during her regional tour of Spain. She completed her look with dragonfly earrings by Gold & Roses and wedge espadrilles by Mint & Rose.
The red touch in 2020
In 2020, the family posed in the town of Petra, and Queen Letizia shone in a sleeveless red dress with a V-neckline by Adolfo Dominguez, fitted with a grommet belt.
To complement, she chose brown leather espadrilles from Uterqüe and a red and white bag in tie-dye finish, made with the traditional Mallorcan fabric known as “tela de lenguas”.
Her jewelry included small earrings shaped like bamboo canes and her iconic Karen Hallam ring.
A waist-grazing Spanish dress in 2021
The 2021 posing was different, as it did not take place in the palaces of the Royal Household. The photo was taken during a visit to the interpretation center of the Sierra de Tramontana and the Lluc Sanctuary.
For that occasion, Queen Letizia dazzled in a linen dress in cross-cut, flared sleeves and incorporated belt, by Adolfo Domínguez. She completed her look with espardeñas from the Balearic firm Espardenyes Torres and a Mallorcan woven bag made of fabric of tongues from BolsasFQ. Her Gold & Roses double dagger earrings and Karen Hallam ring were the finishing touches.
A tribute to Mallorca in 2022
In 2022, Queen Letizia paid homage to Mallorca with an exclusive skirt by Mallorcan designer Pablo Erroz, made from traditional Ikat fabric.
She paired it with a green top, Espardenyes Torres flat espadrilles, a handbag by Galician brand Whittelily, Gold & Roses Crawler Skyline earrings and her trusty Karen Hallam ring.
Vibrant fuchsia in 2023
On July 31, 2023, Queen Letizia dazzled in the Alfàbia Gardens in a fuchsia dress with ruffled finish and V-neckline by Adolfo Domínguez, summer collection 2020.
She paired it with a wicker bag from Audali Mallorca and Espardenyes Torres flat espadrilles that she had already worn in 2021. She completed her look with gold hoop earrings and her Coreterno ring.
Over the past six years, Queen Letizia has demonstrated her summer style, staying true to Spanish fashion and handcrafted accessories, all while paying homage to Mallorcan culture and tradition.
