Last Wednesday, September 14, the day before her 50th birthday, Queen Letizia once again reached into the closet of her daughter, Princess Leonor, to complete her look of the day.
The Queen Consort, together with her husband, King Felipe, traveled to Guadalajara to preside over the inauguration of the expansion of the University Hospital of Guadalajara, which this year celebrates its 40th anniversary.

Queen Letizia returns to wearing Princess Leonor’s clothes
At the official event, the queen appeared dressed in white with a blouse that her daughter Leonor had already worn on her return to Spain last April. The princess of Asturias combined it with pink denim pants and white sneakers by Hugo Boss.
While, for this occasion, the consort chose to combine the white blouse with long puffed sleeves and embroidered flowers, belonging to the firm & Other Stories, with white pants with side buttons, signed by Hugo Boss. The touch of color was her footwear, a pair of sky blue sandals by Mint & Rose with wide heel.
It is not the first time that the queen wears her daughter’s clothes, just a few weeks ago she wore the shirt dress with ethnical print in red and white of the Spanish brand Dándara.
Why does Queen Letizia uses Princess Leonor’s clothes?
The reasons that lead Queen Letizia to wear her daughters’ clothes are unknown, but it is most likely that she resorts to the closet when she runs out of ideas to combine the pieces she already has, plus surely for her it is a privilege to be able to wear her daughter’s clothes.
Her daughters, especially the infanta Sofia also resorts, from time to time, to her mother’s closet to show off new looks.
