King Felipe and Queen Letizia, accompanied by the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia, received the members of the Board of Trustees of UWC Spain in an audience.
The event also included the presence of the Foundation’s scholarship sponsors and graduating classes of students.
This annual audience held by the King and Queen of Spain with the Spanish students attending United World Colleges centers had a special significance for both 2021 and 2023.
Two years ago, Princess Leonor met some of her future classmates at the prestigious French boarding school. Now it was Infanta Sofia’s turn to meet her future classmates.
Felipe and Letizia wanted to make the Infanta the center of attention at the event, allowing her to pose with her future classmates before being joined by Princess Leonor.
While Infanta Sofia opted for a pink dress from Sfera and Princess Leonor for a floral print dress from Zara, Queen Letizia brought back the white dress she bought four years ago.
Queen Letizia, known for taking a step back stylistically when sharing the limelight with Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, preferred to rescue a dress from the back of her closet.
Her decision to allow her daughters to shine in vibrant ensembles is nothing new. This was evident last week at the Princess of Girona Awards and at the General Military Academy in Zaragoza.
Queen Letizia of Spain in a white dress by Hugo Boss
For this special audience, Queen Letizia opted for the Dadoria model of the German firm Hugo Boss.
The dress, with a pencil silhouette and sleeveless, features a slit in the skirt and a built-in belt. Although it is a simple design, it suits the Queen wonderfully.
In fact, she also owns the same dress in green, which she has worn on numerous occasions. She first wore this white version on her state visit to South Korea in October 2019 but had not worn it since.
Queen Letizia wore minimalist accessories, including black heels from Massimo Dutti.
These heels are consistent with her recent footwear choices, suggesting a move away from high heels to more comfortable options, especially given her own foot conditions, such as metatarsalgia and Morton’s neuroma.
As for jewelry, the Spanish consort chose pearl drop earrings, with a small pearl dangling from a ring.
She wore them for the first time during her state visit to Angola a few months ago, and their origin remains a mystery.
She also wore her Coreterno ring, which added a subtle touch to her look.
With this audience, Queen Letizia concludes her engagements for the week.
