Queen Letizia’s gray hair has made more than one headline. The striking strands in her hair seem not to be of much importance to the consort who does not bother to show off her natural hair.
In regards to showing off the so-called “first obvious signs of aging” without any qualms, the queen starred in a hilarious response to a woman who advised her to paint her gray hair.
Queen Letizia’s white hair and the controversial commentary
The ‘País Semanal’ was in charge of publishing this anecdote in its report on the 50th birthday that the queen will celebrate on September 15. The publication revealed that the curious moment occurred during the celebration of the Madrid Book Fair held last June.
A group of ladies was near the monarch when one of them advised her to cover up her gray hair “because it made her look older”, and even indicated that she could get “some highlights”. The queen, who did not like the comment, chose to send them to read. King Felipe‘s wife responded with a curt reply: “Yes, ma’am, but you should read”.
The queen is aware that in every public appearance she is scrutinized by dozens of people. Most of them praise her style and others dare to advise her as if she did not have a team behind her to advise her on every decision regarding looks and styling.
