At the inaugural mass of Pope Leo XIV’s pontificate, Queen Letizia has caught the eye with an outfit that marks a milestone in her style.
She wore for the first time a design by Redondo Brand, a Spanish firm that has dressed well-known figures, but until now was not part of the Queen’s wardrobe.

The ensemble, consisting of a white midi dress with an asymmetrical cut, a matching mantilla, white handbag and nude shoes, is in line with the so-called “white privilege”, reserved for a few queens with historical ties to the Holy See.
Letizia is one of four women entitled to wear white to papal audiences, along with Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg and Charlene of Monaco.
The particularity of this appearance is that the queen did not wear a white mantilla since her wedding to King Felipe VI, in 2004.
The event, held in St. Peter’s Square, gathered thousands of faithful and international representatives.
The Spanish delegation was led by the King and Queen of Spain. The Royal House reported that Felipe and Letizia conveyed to the new Pope their best wishes on behalf of the Spanish people and expressed their hope that he would visit Spain during his pontificate.
