It has been 20 years since Queen Letizia joined the Spanish royal family, and in that time she has undergone obvious physical changes.
Recently, Queen Letizia and King Felipe recreated the first public photo of them together.
At the time, Letizia was a journalist working for a television channel and covering the Princess of Asturias Awards, while Felipe was the Prince of Asturias and presiding over the awards ceremony.
A few days after this photo, the couple announced their engagement and the rest is history.
Before and after Queen Letizia
If we look at the 2003 photo, we can see a noticeable difference in Queen Letizia’s face.
The profile of her face has changed, and the only retouching the Queen can recognize is an operation on her nose.
Letizia’s nose is now smaller and ends in a point, thanks to an operation performed in 2008 by the aesthetic doctor Antonio de la Fuente.
According to the royal house, Letizia underwent this operation because of breathing problems caused by an alleged deviation of the nasal septum.
Queen Letizia’s cosmetic surgeries
In addition to this surgery, there has been speculation about other cosmetic procedures that Letizia may have undergone.
Some Spanish media claim that she has opted for chin surgery, implants or a bichectomy, among other procedures.
Although it cannot be confirmed with certainty, it is likely that at the age of 51, Letizia has used some Botox or undergone some type of facelift.
It is also believed that Letizia has undergone less invasive treatments such as vitamin injections and hyaluronic acid fillers.
In addition, it is likely that she undergoes cabin treatments and radiofrequency sessions to improve tissue elasticity, stimulate collagen production, deeply hydrate the skin, and improve its firmness to prevent sagging.
Aesthetic medicine has come a long way in recent years and it is now possible to achieve changes in appearance without having to resort to invasive and painful surgery.
Queen Letizia has been able to take advantage of these advances to maintain a youthful appearance throughout her 20 years in the Spanish royal family.
