The kings of Spain jointly resumed their agenda of official commitments. This had been suspended after King Felipe tested positive for COVID-19, being on leave for at least 12 days.
The Spanish monarchs attended this Monday, February 21, the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the death of Antonio Nebrija in Madrid, after having participated in three audiences in the morning at the Zarzuela Palace.

What was Queen Letizia’s gesture of affection towards King Felipe?
During his meeting with the press, journalists asked the king how he was feeling after testing positive for coronavirus, to which King Felipe replied that he was fine.
“Well, it’s been heavy for me,” confessed the monarch. Queen Letizia did not hesitate to show him a gesture of affection and put her hand on his shoulder as a gesture of support, who also looked radiant to share work with her husband again.
With this gesture, any rumor that could generate some kind of tension between the couple is completely discarded. The kings of Spain enjoy a stable relationship.
