Although Queen Letizia was not present at the Eurocup final on Sunday, July 14th, in Germany, that didn’t stop her from celebrating enthusiastically.
In the thrilling match, Spain defeated England 2-1, in a soccer match attended by prominent members of the monarchies of both countries.
Prince William and his son, Prince George, represented the British monarchy. Meanwhile, King Felipe and his daughter, Infanta Sofia, were there to support Spain, the winning country.
On Monday, the athletes took a break from the celebrations in the capital of Spain to visit the Zarzuela Palace, where they met with the players and the technical team of the national team.
Queen Letizia appeared at the Zarzuela Palace with a smile, showing her more relaxed side. These events allow the Royals to appear in a more natural manner.
Both Felipe and Letizia chatted amiably with the players, posed with the trophy, and congratulated everyone present.
Queen Letizia’s red dress
Letizia didn’t hesitate to choose a special outfit. For her meeting with the Spanish football team, the Queen wore a spectacular red dress by Carolina Herrera. The wife of King Felipe VI opted for a garment she had previously worn on other occasions.
This design features a flared skirt with built-in pockets, a front zipper opening, and short sleeves—ideal for summer and in the Queen’s favorite color, which coincides with the team’s colors.
Queen Letizia completed her style by wearing the ‘Needle I Am’ earrings from Gold&Roses, the same ones Leonor wore on her first official trip to Portugal.
She also chose low-heeled nude sandals from the brand & Other Stories.
Although she has returned to wearing slightly elevated footwear, the monarch prefers not to risk shoes that could worsen her injury to the right foot.
Princess Leonor and Sofia dressed as part of the national soccer team
Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia also stood out with their sporty style. The sisters wore personalized Spain national team jerseys. Paired with white pants, Leonor and Sofia looked radiant and excited as they welcomed the champions.
