Queen Letizia has resumed her royal responsibilities, without losing sight of the tragedy that has shaken Spain.
The wife of King Felipe has been very close to the disaster caused by the recent floods in Valencia, and does not forget those who have been affected.
Despite the recent protest in which mud was thrown at her, the queen remains firm in her commitment to support those who need it most.
This Tuesday, November 12, Letizia presided over two audiences at La Zarzuela Palace, keeping her attention on what has happened.
First, she met with representatives of Code.org, a non-profit organization that presented her with the evolution of its project.
This plan seeks to expand access to computer science in schools and encourage more young women and students from underrepresented groups to participate in this field.
She then had a meeting with members of the Spanish Porphyria Association.
Message from Queen Letizia
Although she did not specifically address the events that took place in Valencia, the queen knows exactly how to communicate her support through her choice of outfits, which are scrutinized in detail.
For example, she debuted star-shaped earrings from the Singularu brand, which was also affected by the floods.
It’s a minimalist design in gold-plated stainless steel, with a small star shape symbolizing “hope, guidance, and eternity.” Undoubtedly, a touch of sophistication and meaning in its presentation.
The flood of October 29 wreaked havoc on Singularu’s warehouse and offices. Fortunately, there were no fatalities because no workers were present at the time; however, the material damage was significant.
Since then, the brand’s nearly 300 professionals, along with its suppliers and factories, have been working against the clock to mitigate the losses and restore the company to normal operations, as reported by Vanitatis.
The Queen’s agenda will continue this Wednesday, when, together with the King, she will receive at the Palace of El Pardo the Olympic and Paralympic athletes who will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, to congratulate them for their achievements in the recent Games.
King Felipe and Queen Letizia have promised to return to the devastated localities after their tense visit to Paiporta, and it will be the King who will return first, but this time alone.
