Queen Letizia began her third day in Paris with renewed energy, showing her constant support for the Spanish athletics team.
Since arriving in the French capital last Wednesday, she has been a constant presence at various competitions, always cheering on the Spanish athletes.
Queen Letizia’s third day at the Paris Olympics
This Friday was no exception, as she attended the Stade de France in Saint-Denis to closely follow the athletics events.
At the stadium, the Queen watched attentively the competitions in which Spanish athletes Mario Garcia, Adel Mechaal and Ignacio Fontes participated in the 1500 meters event.
After the race, she went to the mixed zone together with the president of the National Athletics Federation, where she was able to talk with the athletes.
One of the highlights was her talk with Mario García, who expressed his dissatisfaction with his performance. The Queen, always interested in details, asked him about the shoes and steel spikes used by the athletes.
According to World Athletics, the spikes in the shoes are designed to provide protection and stability, ensuring a firm grip on the ground. The sole and heel can have up to 11 spikes, and although the number of spikes can vary, they cannot exceed that number.
For this day, the Queen chose a casual look: white jeans combined with a red polo shirt from Joma, designed especially for the Spanish Olympic team.
This polo shirt is one of the three models she owns in different colors; she has already worn the white and the red one, and she has yet to show the navy blue one.
The Queen’s agenda in Paris will last until next Saturday, August 3. After that, it will be King Felipe VI who will take over once the Copa del Rey Mapfre sailing competition in Mallorca comes to an end.
The monarch will be present at several competitions during the second week of the Olympic Games.
