After summer cruise that took Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark through several municipalities in their country, the royal couple has returned to Copenhagen.
This four-day journey aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog is a cherished family tradition, and this time, the royals took the opportunity to share their experience with the public through their Instagram account.
They accompanied an emotional message with a new photograph, in which Queen Mary dazzles in an elegant white dress adorned with a floral pattern, a piece that is also owned by Princess Victoria of Sweden.
“Thank you to Bornholm, Ærø, Assens, and Vejle for making our first summer trip one we will never forget. Everywhere we were received in the most festive way—from the edges of the roads, windows, and balconies, in ports, in squares, and in town halls. Thank you. Our country has so much to offer, and we have enjoyed experiencing its culture and nature firsthand. Thanks to everyone who spontaneously planned to share personal stories, experiences, and talents, and to all those who organized and participated in the visits. We are deeply moved and full of wonderful experiences,” read the message posted by the Danish royal couple on their Instagram account.
In the image, Frederik and Mary appear smiling and relaxed, posing together aboard the Dannebrog after a reception held on Thursday night, the last before they departed back to Copenhagen.
Queen Mary of Denmark in a Floral Dress by Saloni
Queen Mary, known for her impeccable style and for re-wearing outfits, chose to debut a new dress for this occasion from the brand Saloni, named Claudia.
This elegant long-sleeved dress with a teardrop neckline stands out for its white color adorned with a vibrant floral pattern in shades of orange, currant, green, and blue—an outfit that certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
As previously mentioned, this dress holds a special connection with Princess Victoria of Sweden, who also owns the same design. She wore it during a reception on the Dannebrog, organized by the Danish royals during their state visit to Sweden last May.
It’s unclear whether Queen Mary was inspired by seeing Victoria in the dress or if she already had it in her wardrobe, but it’s evident that both royals share a similar taste and appreciate the beauty of this garment.
Victoria of Sweden first wore this model in February of this year during an official trip to the United States.
For that occasion, the princess chose the Saloni dress, complementing it with red shoes by Gianvito Rossi, a clutch by Stella McCartney, and green agate earrings by designer Ebba Brahe.
When she wore it in front of Mary, Victoria kept the same accessories, adding a taupe-colored coat by Toteme to protect herself from the cold.
