During her visit to the municipality of Ærø as part of her traditional summer cruise aboard the yacht Dannebrog, Queen Mary of Denmark once again demonstrated her impeccable sense of style.
Accompanied by King Frederik, the royal couple was warmly greeted by the citizens who gathered in the harbor to greet them, a gesture they reciprocated with their usual friendliness.
Queen Mary’s Chic Summer Style in Aeroe
On this occasion, Mary opted for a practical outfit, ideal for the day’s busy schedule.
Leaving aside the high heels to which she is usually accustomed, the Queen chose a pair of kitten heel shoes, an increasingly popular choice among royal women due to their comfort.
In particular, Mary opted for the Amita model from the prestigious Jimmy Choo brand. These heels, blue in color and made in Italy, stand out for their design of mesh mesh and nappa leather, and for the delicate embellishment of a pearl that, as the brand itself describes, “catches the light”.
With a 4.5-centimeter heel, these shoes offer not only style, but also practicality, especially on a busy day.
Mary complemented her footwear with a midi skirt from British brand Joseph.
This toffee-colored piece new to her closet is made from a lightweight linen and cotton blend with a hint of stretch, making it ideal for Aeroe’s warm weather.
With a wide waistband and pleats that add movement, the skirt was paired with a plain white blouse, allowing both the garment and the shoes to shine on their own.
A detail that did not go unnoticed was the pendant that Mary wore close to her heart, a delicate necklace with the letter “F” for Frederik. In addition, Mary complemented it with another necklace with the letter “M”.
During their stay in Ærø, the King and Queen visited the historic Motorfabrikken Marstal, a factory more than 120 years old that once produced gasoline engines for the Commonwealth.
This site, which in 2017 was transformed into a cultural center, offered the royal couple a glimpse into the region’s industrial past. In addition, Frederik and Mary enjoyed a tour on the electric ferry Ellen and culminated their visit with a walk through Voderup Klint, a stunning natural landscape.
The Kings’ summer tour will continue on August 21 with a visit to the municipality of Assens and will end on August 22 in Vejle.
