It is well known that Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has a penchant for colors and patterns. She never fails to surprise with her outfits during public appearances.
Lately, she has been revisiting her suitcase to bring back some of her best designs, turning any event into a fashion lesson.
Maxima of the Netherlands in Bordeaux Silk Dress by Natan
For her latest engagement, she chose one of her most flattering spring designs. It was a white dress with a small green print, created by Natan.
However, the dress she has rescued the most is a two-piece red ensemble by Edouard Vermeulen, which she has worn on eight different occasions.
It was no surprise then that she took a peek into her closet to select her look for the financial funding congress.
The result was a Bordeaux silk dress by Natan, now establishing itself as one of her favorites.
We last saw this garment in 2023 when she traveled to Kenya, and some modifications were made to the design, adding unexpected surprises.
The front part of the fitted bodice was extended into a transversal seam at the hip. From there, a bell-shaped pleat emerged at the center, while two flat pleats sprouted from the partial seams, resulting in a flawlessly executed modification.
She paired the dress with one of her favorite leather handbags in a Bordeaux hue from Delvaux. Additionally, she wore semi-transparent red pointed-toe pumps, a purple scarf to protect herself from the cold, and garnet gem earrings.
Her attendance at the MKB funding congress was due to her role as the Special Advocate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA) since 2009.
As a result, she not only carries out duties throughout the Netherlands but also travels around the world. Just two weeks ago, she visited the Philippines where she showcased three very different outfits.
