After showcasing her stylish presence in the United States, one might think we’d have a break from her fashion statements. Yet, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands proves us wrong.
Back in the Netherlands, she dazzles once again, this time with a bridal-inspired two-piece outfit, enhanced with emeralds from the royal jewelry collection.
This occasion also carried a special tribute to her daughter, Alexia.
Queen Maxima in a Suit White by Claes Iversen
Queen Máxima shined in the Dutch town of Delfzijl on Friday, where she christened two twin ships from the Royal Wagenborg shipping company.
One ship bears her name, while the other is named after her middle daughter, Princess Alexia. Although Queen Máxima attended the event alone, her presence was more than enough.
Her striking appearance stood out, particularly because of her outfit, one of the best seen in recent weeks and probably all year. Despite her recent tour in the U.S. featuring an array of admired outfits, this look stood apart.
Queen Máxima debuted a white two-piece by designer Claes Iversen, a favorite of hers.
This creation, with its bridal inspiration, is part of the Danish designer’s collection presented last February. As a loyal follower of Iversen, the Queen took note of this design, evident in her choice for the event.
The ensemble features slightly flared pants and a pristine white jacket with clean lines. A standout detail is the design on the right shoulder of the blazer, crafted with sequins to resemble a splash of paint.
This touch of color breaks the monochrome look, allowing Queen Máxima to pair it with green accessories.
She chose a green clutch and a matching headpiece, the same one seen recently in the U.S. with a floral dress.
Tradition says it’s bad luck to christen a ship with a bare head, so Queen Máxima opted for a fitted cap, under which she wore an elaborate updo.
