Maxima of the Netherlands Rescues an Old Trend with Her Lime Green Dress

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is known for her standout fashion choices. Whether it’s through her bold accessories or her unique designs and colors, she rarely goes unnoticed.

This time, she brought back an old trend with her lime green dress and wore a belt that she shares with her daughters.

During a visit to a senior center in Almere, Queen Maxima chose a lime green dress to learn about projects helping residents live independently and healthily.

Her outfit was quite different from the one she wore earlier in the week when she visited Groningen with King Willem-Alexander. That outfit included pearls, flowers, lace, and an oversized headpiece, making it very elaborate.

However, for this visit, she opted for simplicity.

She wore a clean-lined dress by Natan in a vibrant, spring-like lime green.

To let the color stand out, she paired it with camel-colored accessories, including a belt. This created a nice contrast without overshadowing the bright lime green, which was popular a few seasons ago.

The camel color was chosen for all her accessories, including the belt, which has been seen many times before, not just on Queen Maxima.

It’s common for European queens to share clothes and accessories with their teenage daughters, and the Dutch royal family is no exception.

This particular leather belt, made by the French brand Maison Vaincourt, has been worn by both Princess Amalia and Princess Alexia.

Princess Amalia first wore it during the family’s summer photo shoot at Huis ten Bosch, pairing it with a blue shirt dress.

Princess Alexia wore it for her 18th birthday portraits released last June, matching it with a white dress.

Queen Maxima has worn this versatile belt many times since it was first seen on Princess Amalia.

It’s a functional piece that she uses to accentuate her silhouette with simple designs or to break up a single-color outfit.
