A fitted dress that enhanced her waist, a turban on her head, two-tone heels and a large handbag completed Queen Maxima’s look.

After her tour of the United States, where she dazzled with several outfits in cities like Georgia and New York, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has returned to her duties in her country.

In her latest engagement, Maxima attended the reopening of the renovated Hindeloopen Museum, where she became the iconic lady in red.

The Queen of the Netherlands, who is married to King Willem-Alexander, traveled to Hindeloopen, a town in the northern province of Friesland, to celebrate the reopening of the museum, which has been housed in the former town hall since 1919.

The museum showcases the culture of Hindeloopen, known for its commercial spirit and craftsmanship, vividly represented through traditional paintings and colorful textiles.

For the occasion, Máxima wore a striking crimson red dress. The dress featured a plunging neckline, three-quarter sleeves, a knee-length hemline and a cinched waist to accentuate her figure.

Although its designer is unknown, the simple yet elegant design of the dress was perfectly complemented by the accessories chosen.

Maxima, who usually adorns her head with hats or pillboxes for special events, for this event chose a red turban-like headdress by Belgian milliner Fabienne Delvigne.

This piece has been in her collection for years and is one of her favorites, making it an appropriate choice for the museum’s reopening.

The only non-red element of her outfit was the white trim on her two-tone shoes, designed by Natan, a brand dear to Queen Máxima’s heart.

The shoes, with a 10-centimeter heel, are slingbacks that added a touch of sophistication to her look.

In terms of accessories, she carried a large woven clutch bag and leather gloves, while her jewelry included eye-catching spiked rhinestone earrings that completed her ensemble.

Queen Máxima has a busy week ahead with numerous official engagements.
