The grand reappearance of Princess Leonor, 17, and her younger sister, Infanta Sofia, 15, took place this weekend.
The Kings of Spain, Felipe, and Letizia, accompanied by the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia, attended Saturday night in a cultural activity of popular tradition linked to Easter in the town of Chinchón.
The Royal Family surprised the inhabitants and tourists of Chinchón with their visit. This Festival of National Tourist Interest of the town attracts many visitors who have been able to meet with Their Majesties.
The recreation of the living passion is celebrated every year in Chinchón during Holy Saturday since 1963 and counts with the participation of about 250 neighbors. The play is composed of eight scenes that recreate from The Last Supper to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofia wanted to participate in every moment of the show, mingling in the crowd so as not to miss a single detail.
The reappearance of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia
For this event, everyone dressed casually. The Queen opted for a black jacket suit, combined with ballerina-style shoes in the same tone. She also wore a blouse with floral motifs, which the heiress to the throne wore last year during a visit to the Ukrainian Refugee Center. For his part, King Felipe wore jeans, a plaid shirt, and a jacket in shades of green.
Leonor wore white jeans, a black knitted sweater, and a sleeveless gray coat, while her sister Infanta Sofia wore black pants, a leather jacket, and white sneakers to be comfortable during her visit to Madrid.
One thing to note is that Princess Leonor of Spain had a wound on her left eyelid that was exposed when she closed her eyes.
The heiress to the Crown of Spain, who is studying at the Atlantic UWC College in Wales, has returned to her country for a short vacation with her family before returning to Wales on April 16. In addition, the infantas Leonor and Sofia have reappeared after almost four months without being seen publicly, excluding the Christmas greeting.
