In the midst of the controversy over the separation of Iñaki Urdangarin and the Infanta Cristina, King Juan Carlos has reappeared publicly and has done so accompanied by the announcer and intimate friend, Carlos Herrera.
Apparently Herrera was traveling in Abu Dhabi and took the opportunity to reunite with the monarch.

The announcer has published the image of his meeting with Juan Carlos on his Instagram account. The photograph was accompanied by the following text:
“Meeting in Abu Dhabi. King Juan Carlos is very well physically fit. And encouragement.”
In the picture you can see the king emeritus in good spirits and healthy, wearing a casual look composed of blue pants, white shirt and beige vest.
According to some Spanish media, Herrera has given more details of his meeting with the king emeritus from his program ‘Herrera en la Cope’.
“He kindly gave me a few minutes of his time, he gave me the confidence to give me some time to talk (…) Much thinner and with a very healthy appearance, as desirable as it can be for a person of his age. He looks like I haven’t seen him in a long time”, he pointed out.
Carlos Herrera has said that he asked Juan Carlos about his return to Spain, revealing that the emeritus “would be willing” to return to his homeland but that this would take place when his presence does not create any instability to the Institution.
