The bond between King Felipe VI and his first-born daughter, Princess Leonor, transcends protocols and monarchical obligations.
This paternal-filial relationship is woven with threads of pride, admiration, and complicity, becoming an inspiring example.
The relationship between King Felipe and Princess Leonor
Last March 15, King Felipe VI surprised his daughter, Princess Leonor, during her military maneuvers at the San Gregorio Training Center.
With a radiant smile and a special sparkle in his eyes, the monarch witnessed how his firstborn, dressed in her cadet uniform, participated in various maneuvers along with her peers.
More than a king supervising future soldiers, he was a proud father observing his daughter’s progress in her training.
The scene of the “military rancho” shared between the King and the cadets, including Princess Leonor, has been described as an endearing moment.
As they savored a typical picnic menu, the complicit glances and warm smiles between father and daughter spoke volumes.
According to colleagues close to Leonor, she feels “humble and very proud of her father,” reflecting the education she has received and the awareness of the role she will play in the future.
The media have not hesitated to praise the closeness between the King and the Princess during this visit.
They highlighted the admiration that Felipe VI showed towards his daughter at all times, recalling that he himself undertook this military training in 1985, a mandatory step to reach the throne.
“Seeing his eldest daughter at the military center must have been particularly moving for him,” they said.
As Princess Leonor continues her education and prepares for her future role, it is clear that King Felipe VI will be her closest guide and greatest support.
Easter Holidays
Princess Leonor is at the Infantry Academy in Toledo on the second part of maneuvers that will last until March 23.
Then the heiress will enjoy her Easter vacation where she will be reunited with her sister, Infanta Sofia.
