Prince William arrived in Singapore on Sunday 5 November to attend the Earthshot Awards ceremony.
The awards recognize and reward sustainable projects that seek innovative solutions to the world’s environmental challenges. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, November 7.
On this occasion, the Prince of Wales arrived in the Asian country without the company of Kate Middleton.
He explained that Kate’s absence was due to the fact that she was helping Prince George with his school exams.

During the awards ceremony, Prince William chose to walk the red carpet alongside movie stars.
The prince posed with Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett.
For the occasion, the future King of England wore an elegant green velvet suit with a white shirt, bow tie and black shoes.
Cate Blanchett, for her part, dazzled in a gold suit designed by Stella McCartney.
It is worth noting that Blanchett is recognized both as one of Hollywood’s top actresses and for her commitment to sustainable fashion.
This is not the first time she has met the Prince of Wales, as they first met during a dinner at Windsor Castle in 2014.
Other celebrities in attendance included Hannah Waddingham from Ted Lasso and Sterling K. Brown, Emmy Award-winning actor and producer.
The ceremony will select five winners from the 15 nominees, who will receive $1.2 million to implement their sustainable projects.
“The light of optimism is burning bright in our Earthshot finalists. From Boomitra, S4S, and Acción Andina, to GRST and Wildaid Marine, our winners and all our finalists remind us that no matter where you are on our planet the spirit of ingenuity, and the ability to inspire change, surrounds us all”, said the Prince in his speech.
He thanked Singapore for hosting the ceremony and the events around it, adding it was a “great city leveraging technology and innovation to help repair and regenerate our planet.”
