Next July 5, 2023, King Charles will be held the second coronation of King Charles III. This time the ceremony will be in Scotland.
The 74-year-old British monarch will receive the Scottish Crown Honors, which include the crown, scepter, and sword of state, as well as the Stone of Destiny, will be present at the ceremony.
The ceremony will feature a national service of thanksgiving at St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Prince William and Princess Kate have already confirmed their presence and while it will not have the same prominence as the ceremony at Westminster. Abbey on May 6, many are wondering about the guests.
Rose Hanbury at Charles’ Coronation in Scotland
Although the guest list is unknown we wonder if Rose Hanbury will attend this coronation ceremony.
It should be noted that the Marchioness of Cholmondeley attended King Charles’ coronation. Her presence was in doubt after rumors grew about an alleged affair between her and Prince William that put the monarchy on alert.
Although, for now, there are no official details, it is possible that she will be able to attend due to the important role her husband plays in the royal court.
David Rocksavage, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, who was Lord Great Chamberlain to Queen Elizabeth and has now been promoted to Lord-in-Waiting to King Charles, attended the coronation ceremony.
Moreover, his son, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, also played a prominent role in the ceremony. The 13-year-old teenager was one of King Charles’ pages of honor.
Lord Oliver was accompanied by Prince George, Nicholas Barclay, and Ralph Tollemache. The pages had the task of carrying the heavy robes down the aisle of Westminster Abbey.
