Almost two weeks have passed since the name of Rose Hanbury, 38, the alleged mistress of Prince William, 40, exploded with force. The story began with a series of photographs of the Prince of Wales in a bar where he allegedly kissed the former model.
The British media did not stop writing about this woman historian, model, socialite, aristocrat, former political advisor and friend of Kate Middleton. But a few days ago everything related to the alleged affair of Prince William, disappeared from the Internet.
The dark past of Rose Hanbury, Prince William’s alleged mistress
The life of Sarah Rose Hanbury has been watched with a magnifying glass for its historical link with the Royal Family and has an “erotic, exotic and eccentric” past. So recounts journalist and author Violet Naylor-Leyland in her latest book, ‘Rare Birds, True Style: Extraordinary Interiors, Personal Collections & Signature Looks’.
The book describes in detail what the rooms were like at Wembury House, the impressive mansion where a young Rose lived with her parents and two brothers.
According to the writer, Sara lived a “wild” life as a teenager and that her parents Emma and Tim acted more as friends than parents.
“Mom turned the basement into a nightclub for us, painted everything herself and hung Moroccan lamps and suzanis – rugs – from the walls. It looked like some kind of opium den.”
At one of the theme parties held at her mansion, Hanbury dressed up as a fisherwoman, complete with fish, nets and an octopus on her head.
In that mansion a dangerous game was played, which consisted in taking a roll of toilet paper absolutely impregnated with gasoline, setting it on fire and using it as a field hockey ball in the gardens of the house.
The dangerous game had to be banned after one of the guests ended up with her hair on fire. As reported by the Daily Mail.
Rose Hanbury and her sister Marina are good friends and co-workers, as they were both models. They modeled for luxury fashion houses like Escada at London Fashion Week.
The sisters made the tabloids after they appeared in 2005 in bikinis with the Prime Minister of the time, Tony Blair.
