Princess Eugenie, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, and other royals turned the Royal Ascot into a dazzling fashion showcase.
On June 19, several members of the royal family, including Princess Eugenie and Sophie, stepped out for the second day of the renowned equestrian event.
Leading the Royal Procession carriages was Queen Camilla. Prince William was also in attendance, reuniting with his in-laws, Carole and Michael Middleton, at this significant summer event on the royal calendar.
Joining them were Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Zara Tindall, Mike Tindall, and Sarah Ferguson.
Princess Eugenie, 34, made a stylish entrance in the third carriage of the Royal Procession with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. She wore a pale pink dress paired with a matching hat adorned with oversized tassels.
In a touching sisterly moment, Princess Beatrice, 35, helped her by brushing away the tassel on Eugenie’s hat as it fluttered in the breeze.
This scene amused Prince William, 41, who stood nearby with his cousins.
Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary in elegant style by wearing a long white dress with a floral overlay and a coordinating hat. She arrived with her husband, Prince Edward.
To mark their anniversary on June 19, the Duke and Duchess released two new photos taken by photographer Chris Jelf, expressing gratitude for the kind messages they received.
“We are so grateful for the many kind and lovely messages we have received on our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Wishing everyone who is celebrating their own anniversaries a special day too,” read the caption of one photo, signed “Edward & Sophie.”
Princess Beatrice and Zara Tindall, 43, opted for long-sleeved dresses with pink floral prints and matching headwear for the occasion, reminiscent of their coordinated pink and white outfits at the Buckingham Palace garden party in May.
The royal family often coordinates their outfits, symbolizing unity.
Inside the Parade Ring on June 19, Princess Beatrice and Zara were seen in deep conversation with Carole and Michael Middleton, who also chatted with Prince William and Zara.
This was the Middletons’ first public appearance since their daughter, Princess Kate, announced in March that she has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy.
Although Princess Kate, 42, attended Trooping the Colour on June 15, her first public appearance in nearly six months, she did not attend the Royal Ascot on June 19, as she continues to focus on her health.
The Royal Ascot, one of Britain’s most prestigious horse races, takes place every June for a week. Established by Queen Anne in 1711, the event became known as a “royal week” 200 years later, in 1911.
