Among the royals confirmed for the inaugural event are the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia Ortiz, who will be accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.
The presence of the monarchs of the Netherlands, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, is also expected, as they will support the Dutch delegation along with their daughters, Princesses Amalia and Alexia.
Representing the Windsors will be Princess Anne, who has been in Paris since Tuesday, July 23.
For her, the Olympic Games hold a special place, as she was the first member of the British royal family to compete in the Olympics, specifically in Montreal 1976, and she is also a member of the International Olympic Committee.
The Norwegian monarchy will also be present at the inauguration, with Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Mette-Marit cheering on their compatriots.
Additionally, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden were among the first to announce their attendance at the Paris Olympics.
Who Will Not Be at the Opening Ceremony?
Other members who have confirmed their attendance at the Olympic Games are King Frederick and Queen Mary of Denmark.
As for Princes Albert and Charlene of Monaco, they are already in Paris as they are both sports enthusiasts and are closely linked to the Olympic Games. Albert is part of the Committee.
Prince William, nor any other member of the Windsors have confirmed their presence. It is likely that the Prince of Wales will not attend because his wife, Kate Middleton, is still undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer.
