Princess Leonor traveled with her parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, as well as her sister, Infanta Sofia, to the village of Villaviciosa to present the award to the Best Town of Asturias 2023.
This was the last event with which the royal family put an end to everything related to the Princess of Asturias Award, which will be presented on Friday, October 20, 2023.
It was a busy week for the Royal Family. Thursday was the pre-prize concert and Friday was the expected award ceremony, which would be the last for the King and Queen. Now this Saturday, October 21, they put an end to a few days full of commitments.

Princess Leonor showed her most natural side at this event. She managed to make the audience laugh with her speech and her outfit and that of her sister got all the attention.

The first curiosity was Queen Letizia. The monarch did not want to miss the opportunity to taste the cider. She took a sip, putting her hand underneath to make sure it did not stain her clothes.
She also chatted with the crowd and accepted a few gifts.

King Felipe had a great time with his daughters. Father and daughters commented on some of the moments they experienced. Even Sofia touched her father to get his attention.
During the event, the King and Queen and their daughters had to follow the order of the day, making their speeches and handing out the awards, while observing all the riches of the cities of Asturias.
There was also time for leisure. This was demonstrated by Letizia, Leonor and Sofia, who never stopped talking about everything they observed.
There was no lack of affection and complicity among the sisters. In short, it was a great weekend that ended with Sofia’s departure directly to Wales to return to classes before her fall break, which begins on October 27.
