An amusing anecdote was recalled by the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, Sarah Ferguson. The writer was on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where, in addition to promoting her new book “A Most Intriguing Lady” she also amused the audience with an event starring her and Princess Diana.
Fergie is still in the United States and has appeared on several television programs. The mother of Princess Beatrice and Eugenie has not held anything back about her arrest and that of Lady Di during her bachelorette party.
Why were Sarah Ferguson and Princess Diana arrested?
In this story, Ferguson, 63, revealed that it all happened weeks before her wedding to Prince Andrew. Recounted that she and Princess Diana were dressed as police officers for a night out at a club.
The funny moment occurred when a worker at the venue thought they were actually police officers.
“We sat down, and the waiter came up to us and said, ‘Excuse me, this is a members club. And it’s for fun, and we don’t serve police officers here,’ ” she explained.
“They thought you were real police officers?” Clarkson asked, to which Sarah replied, “Yes!”. Both were later arrested for impersonating police officers. They even put them in the back of a police van.
Although neither was wearing their engagement rings, the officers finally managed to recognize them.
In fact, there is a photograph where Sarah and Diana are seen dressed in their uniforms, William and Harry’s mother went further and added black-rimmed glasses for more “professionalism” in their disguise.
In the interview Sarah also revealed that she does not miss Princess Diana because she said she “is with her all day long”.
“She and I, laughed a lot. We got into trouble a lot,” Ferguson said. “You know what she used to do? She used to tell me the worst story, joke story, just before I had to be serious”, stated.
