Sarah Jessica Parker made a bold fashion choice at the 2024 Met Gala, prioritizing style over comfort.
The famous star, known for her role in “And Just Like That…” and a regular attendee of the Met Gala (this was her 12th appearance since 1996!), opted for a stunning Richard Quinn corset gown paired with a Philip Treacy fascinator.
As she made her way to the Met Gala venue, Sarah Jessica Parker was seen standing in what seemed like a sprinter van. Later, she revealed on Today with Hoda and Jenna that she literally couldn’t sit in her outfit, explaining why she didn’t join the dinner at the event.
Despite missing out on dinner, Parker expressed her admiration for the exhibition titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” at the Costume Institute, calling it the most unforgettable and glorious exhibition she had ever seen. She praised curator Andrew Bolton and his team for their expertise and dedication to fashion.
Parker attended the gala with her friend Andy Cohen, accessorizing her outfit with a Benedetta Bruzziches Lumière bag and jewelry from Briony Raymond and Marlo Laz, along with items from New York City shops Beads of Paradise NYC and Gray & Davis.
She emphasized that personal comfort was a low priority compared to presenting herself well and honoring the work of designers, hairstylists, and makeup artists.
Before the event, Parker shared glimpses of her preparation with her makeup artist Elaine Offers, and afterward, she showcased her outfit and expressed her fascination with the exhibition on her bookshelf.
