In a series of statements that have stirred social media, Sean Lennon, son of The Beatles’ legendary John Lennon, has voiced his opinion on Prince Harry’s biography, ‘Spare.’
Utilizing the X platform (previously known as Twitter), Lennon did not hold back in his biting critique.
What did Sean Lennon say about Prince Harry?
Sean Lennon, 48, an artist in his own right, has openly criticized Prince Harry for the content revealed in his book.
Employing a tongue-in-cheek approach, Lennon wrote: “My long awaited review of Prince Harry’s autobiography is two words. ‘Spare Me,” cleverly playing on the book’s title.

‘Spare Me.’

Despite clarifying that his comment was merely a play on words, Lennon stood firm against the ensuing controversy. In a subsequent post, he declared, “We met once. That was before I realised he was an idiot.”
In another update, Lennon conveyed a degree of empathy for Harry but also suggested that the Duke of Sussex has invited some ridicule.
He stated: “I do empathise with him generally. But the way he whines and wangs on about things is really too much. I’m just having a little fun. I think he’s earned some mockery. (I’m sure I have as well).
This isn’t Lennon’s first critique of ‘Spare.’ Following the book’s release, he remarked on a particularly notable excerpt regarding Prince Harry’s personal experiences.
When Harry’s editor read the sentence: ‘My penis was oscillating between extremely sensitive, and borderline traumatised,’ did they not want to stage an intervention of some sort?, he questioned.
“I mean that is for sure one of the worst sentences ever written in the English language.”
Sean Lennon Receives Death Threats
Amid the fallout from his remarks about Prince Harry’s book, Sean Lennon has returned to social media to report receiving death threats.
“I’ve had 3-4 death threats since making fun of Harry’s book title and then later saying it was justified because he’s an idiot and that he and I both deserve to be mocked.” he claimed.
To date, neither Prince Harry nor any of his spokespeople have addressed the furor ignited by the artist’s comments.
