The Infanta Sofia will travel at the end of August to Wales, where she will study the International Baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College, the same school where Princess Leonor finished her studies on May 20, 2023.
However, Sofia will face new changes as she will not have the same education as the future Queen, this is not due to something related to the monarchy but to the educational institution that decided to make some adjustments to its curriculum.

Infanta Sofia at UWC Atlantic College
The prestigious boarding school will implement a new educational model, where there will be no exams, and subjects related to current issues will be added to the curriculum, according to The Times.
The aforementioned media assures that the school will launch during the next academic year a pilot project that will modify the school’s educational model and update it to the needs of the new generations.
According to what has been published, the school will prepare its students for the global crises that threaten the future of the planet. In other words, part of the subjects will be replaced by four other subjects, including the study of biodiversity, energy, food, and migration. Finally, students will be required to develop two strategies to end global warming.
However, it will not apply immediately to all students. According to The Times, the proposal is to start this modality with 20 of their best students, in a kind of test. Therefore, Infanta Sofia could be, or not, be within this pilot project.
