This 2023, the Royal Family presented a different approach for the Christmas card, as last year the protagonists were Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, posing together.
This time the Christmas card symbolizes family unity and strength.
The choice of this photograph, taken on the day Leonor took the oath of allegiance to the Spanish Constitution on October 31, highlights the importance of that particular event and underlines the connection of the Royal Family.
The image shows King Felipe and Queen Letizia, together with the Princess and Infanta Sofia, posing in one of the wide and bright corridors of the Royal Palace.
Spanish Royal Family Christmas Cards
For years, the kings and queens have opted for an image from their private album, either of the four of them or Leonor and Sofia alone, but most of the cards do not reference Christmas.
Below, you will see all the photographs used for the Christmas and New Year’s greeting cards of the kings of Spain.
