This weekend the christening of August, the 9 month old baby of Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter and her husband Jack Brooksbank, was celebrated in Windsor’s All Saints Chapel, in a ceremony in which Lucas, the son of Zara and Mike Tindall, was also baptized.
The celebration was much commented on in the British press especially because Queen Elizabeth participated in the ceremony after being away from public events for several days due to health problems. However, the death of a person close to Eugenie of York tarnished the moment that should be very happy.

Death of George Brooksbank
It was learned that her father in law, George Brooksbank, her husband’s father passed away days before the baptismal ceremony. Jack’s father, 72, was hospitalized in 2020 for complications from COVID-19.
He spent nine months in the Intensive Care Unit and even needed a ventilator. However, he managed to overcome the disease but not the sequelae. Although the causes of death were not reported, some media link it to the virus.
