UWC Atlantic College, a prestigious educational institution located in the heart of Wales, is known for its rich list of traditions, some rooted in history and others that defy the limits of convention.
Among these, a practice stands out that has caught the attention of the Spanish press and could involve the Infanta Sofia, who has been a student since 2023.
Infanta Sofia at school in Wales
According to media reports such as “0k Diario,” students at Atlantic College participate in a morning ritual that challenges strength and spirit.
This consists of jumping into the cold waters of the Bristol Channel at dawn.
Although not mandatory, many young people opt for the invigorating swim, which is said to provide energy and an optimal start to the day.
The question is whether the Infanta Sofia will join this tradition and prove her resistance to the low temperatures.
Other traditions at Sofia’s school
In addition to the water ritual, the school has hosted cultural events that enrich the student experience.
Last Friday, April 19, a dinner was held to the rhythm of techno music, with a DJ to liven up the evening.
Students also enjoyed a selection of the young people’s favorite foods, such as hamburgers and fries.
This event was designed to motivate the students in their learning.
The weekend was also colorful with the celebration of Holi, the Indian festival that symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
Students had the opportunity to participate in this holiday by covering themselves in colored powder and creating their own version of this meaningful event.
