An unexpected twist has taken the divorce of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, after a bodyguard of Lady Di has decided to break the silence and reveal who was to blame for the breakdown of the relationship.

For no one is a secret the stormy marriage that the parents of Prince William and Harry had, always Charles was seen as responsible for the separation by his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles but now, the former police chief of the Royal Protection Squad, Allan Peters, has confessed that the responsible was Princess Diana.

According to the official, Prince Charles discovered that Diana had a lover, specifically it was another bodyguard: Barry Mannakee, who became the princess’s bodyguard in 1985.

“The popular perception is that Prince Charles had a relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles throughout his marriage to Diana of Wales. But that’s not the case, they’re wrong,” Peters told CNN. “The first person who was unfaithful was Princess Diana. Prince Charles saw Parker Bowles again only after learning of his affair with Mannakee,” the former bodyguard said.

He has also confessed that he was close to the princess, even advised her, and that she herself revealed to him that she had an affair with Mannakee.

“I started noticing that her behavior was strange every time we were around Mannakee, so I decided to talk to her and, for the first 20 minutes, she categorically denied it. But then he told me what was really going on and confirmed that she had a relationship with Mannakee,” he said.

Peters’ revelation prompted a source close to Princess Diana’s family to question the veracity of his claims.

Following Allan Peters’ comments, many royal fans have begun to question the “sudden” death of Barry Mannakee, who died in 1987 in a tragic motorcycle accident.
