    The Royal House of Spain published a series of unpublished photos to celebrate the proclamation of Felipe VI as King of Spain

    As the tenth anniversary of Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia’s ascension to the throne approaches, the Royal Household has unveiled a collection of never-before-seen photographs capturing intimate, everyday moments of the monarch.

    June 19, 2014, marked a milestone in the history of Spain when the then-Prince Felipe was sworn in before the Cortes Generales, assuming the title of King Felipe VI.

    Accompanied by Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, Infanta Sofia, and members of the Royal Family, they witnessed the dawn of a new era.

    A decade later, preparations are underway to commemorate this momentous date.

    On June 19 and 20, a series of commemorative events will commence, starting with an official portrait that symbolizes both the continuity and renewal of the monarchy.

    Exclusive photographs of King Felipe have been released, depicting him in his royal office, engrossed in the duties of his position.

    These images offer just a glimpse of what the monarchy has planned for the celebration.

    According to reports from the Spanish press, the Royal Family intends to recreate one of the most iconic scenes from June 19, 2014.

    In a gesture of connection with the public, the King and Queen, along with their daughters, will appear on the balcony of the Royal Palace to witness the traditional changing of the guard, greeting the citizens assembled in the Plaza de Oriente, echoing that historic occasion.
