After several months of a hectic schedule of events, the royals take a few days of rest and disconnection to recharge their batteries and spend time with their respective families.
The first to take a vacation this year were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with their three children, were captured boarding a helicopter on the grounds of Kensington Palace.

According to some media reports, the family headed to Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they usually spend the summer and where, according to Kate herself, they “enjoy the outdoors”.
There are occasions when the family also travels abroad, but when they do this type of trip they do it privately. For example, last year they traveled to Jordan, and only became known of that visit after the Duke and Duchess themselves published a travel postcard.
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, continue the trend of spending their vacations at home. The couple chooses to reside at their beloved Welsh estate which also owns a beautiful country house called Llwynywermod Estate, that property has become a sort of retreat during their annual summer tour of Wales.

Although the couple also enjoy spending time at the Queen’s Scottish residence at Balmoral. Prince Charles has described it as “a unique haven of comfort and character.”
Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, is likely to take her husband, Mike Tindall, and their children to Balmoral to visit Queen Elizabeth as they do most years.
Princess Beatrice and her sister, Eugenie, travel further afield. Both prefer to take refuge in Ibiza or Italy. However, this will be Eugenie’s first year in her new life in Portugal.

Although it is known where each member of the British royal family is, the opposite happens with the kings of Spain Felipe and Letizia. The Spanish royal family is completely secretive about where they will be vacationing. Although in summer they usually visit Mallorca, this trip is already part of their itinerary and it is like another engagement.
