In March 2022, Prince William and Kate Middleton undertook a visit to Commonwealth countries in the Caribbean, including the Bahamas.
Although their tour of these nations was not without controversy, the royal couple experienced great moments that are barely known more than a year later.
The couple, who were traveling on behalf of Queen Elizabeth at the time, showed off their diving talents.

The video of William and Kate diving in the Bahamas caused a sensation on social media.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared their underwater adventure with Coral Vita, an organization dedicated to restoring coral reefs, which received the Earthshot 2021 Award.
William and Kate dived into the turquoise waters of the Bahamas to plant new coral and observe the difference between healthy and degraded coral.

The royal couple wore wetsuits and were enthusiastic about the experience.
William said he thought it was “very special” to see the beautiful reefs and learn about the technical process of coral restoration.
“To be able to see the good coral and the degraded coral, to be able to understand the difference between the two and what needs to go where, I think that was really, really fascinating for me to finally understand,” he said.
“It’s quite technical how they do the coral farming and the research, so to actually see it all being screwed in and built was really fantastic,” William said.
The video was posted to William and Kate’s official YouTube channel, The Prince and Princess of Wales, on Sunday evening, November 12, but soon went viral on other platforms.
The video came just days after William traveled to Singapore for this year’s Earthshot, an award that seeks to promote innovative solutions to the planet’s environmental problems.
