Prince Harry should not only beware of Donald Trump’s comments but also those of his son Eric Trump.
The presidential candidate for the Republican party has issued negative comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the past, even hinted at the possibility that he could deport him if he wins the next presidential election.
He has also criticized Harry’s behavior towards the British royal family.
Donald Trump described Prince Harry as having been ‘so disrespectful to the country… I think he’s an embarrassment’. He said: ‘I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable. He would be on his own if it was down to me.’
Now the one who attacks mercilessly is Eric Trump, the son of the former U.S. president.
What did Eric Trump say about Prince Harry?
Eric Trump, son of Donald, recently shared his candid thoughts on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex .
‘You can happily have those two back,’ he said in an interview with GB News. ‘We’ll happily send them back from America. You can have them back over here, but I’m not sure if you want them anymore,’ he added. ‘We might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own… You can have spoiled apples in every orchard.’
Before giving his damning assessment of the couple, Eric noted that he and his father ‘had a lot of respect’ for the late Queen Elizabeth, and mentioned several other royals with whom the family reportedly have friendships.
‘My mum knew so many of them for years… [she also] had a great relationship with Diana and everybody else,’ he said, describing the British monarchy as a ‘sacred institution… it’s beautiful and it’s something that is actually admired by a lot of Americans.’
Indeed, the Trumps have always had a good relationship with most of the royal family.
However, when it comes to Harry and Meghan, there seems to be nothing good to say.
While Prince Harry or Meghan’s reaction to Eric’s statements is unknown, they apparently take them without paying much attention to him.
It is well known that Meghan Markle, who has made no secret of her political leanings. In 2020, before the presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the couple faced criticism after recording a video encouraging them to register to vote.
Although they did not explicitly express support for any candidate, Meghan called the election “the most important of our lifetime,” leading many to believe she was subtly endorsing Biden.
