Prince Harry, 38, has said everything in his book ‘Spare’, has revealed controversial details such as his drug use, the day he lost his virginity, the fight with his brother William, even talked about the time he met the house of the King of Rock and Roll.
The Duke of Sussex, who lives in the United States, said in his memoirs that he was not impressed by Elvis Presley’s historic home, known as Graceland.
What did Prince Harry say about Graceland?
Elvis lived at Graceland from June 26, 1957 until his death on August 16, 1977, but for Prince Harry the house was “dark and claustrophobic”.
Harry couldn’t understand how Elvis Presley could live there, and he also couldn’t understand how people called Graceland “a castle, a mansion, a palace.”
In his book, the duke jokes that whoever chose the decor of the famous residence had to have been on drugs.
For Meghan Markle’s husband, the interior designer who worked on the late singer’s home “must have been on acid.”
Graceland has become a popular tourist attraction that draws more than 600,000 visitors a year. The property features some 200,000 square feet of entertainment space, restaurants, gift stores and more.
Interestingly, it is the second most visited house in the United States, behind only the White House.
