    Queen Letizia, 50, is a loyal advocate of healthy and balanced nutrition, and is concerned about the menus prepared at Zarzuela. As a good FAO Special Ambassador for Nutrition, she always promotes the right to healthy food.

    It is no secret that the diet followed by the wife of King Felipe VI, 55, is based on the principles of Dr. Perricone, an expert in nutrition and anti-aging.

    What does Queen Letizia of Spain eat?

    Letizia Ortiz, Queen of Spain follows the Perricone diet which consists of eating foods rich in healthy proteins, low-fat dairy, legumes, vegetables, fruits and nuts.

    Some of the Spanish consort’s favorite foods are: organic eggs, red fruits, melon, oat flakes, kiwi, salmon, turkey breast, lettuce or green sprouts, extra virgin olive oil, lemon, apple, pear, natural yogurt. She also drinks plenty of mineral water and green or black tea.

    We already know that the Queen of Spain only eats natural and organic foods, such as fruits, vegetables, fish and lean meat. Now, the foods she avoids at all costs are processed products, such as pasta, rice, sweets and soft drinks.

    The Spanish consort also exercises regularly, practicing activities such as climbing, yoga and strength training. She has a climbing wall at the Zarzuela Palace to climb whenever she wants. This way she tones her whole body and relaxes.
