Infanta Sofia is currently studying Political Science and International Relations at Forward College in the Portuguese capital, and from what we know, the experience has been spectacular.
President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa himself made this clear during his official visit to Spain, where he spoke of the “great privilege” of having welcomed such a student.

There was something special about that moment. The king used his speech to connect the friendship between Spain and Portugal with something much more personal: his daughters. Leonor made her first official solo trip to Lisbon, and Sofia now lives there.

Rebelo de Sousa, with his characteristic charm, concluded by saying that the kings are so popular in Portugal, “it even makes me envious.” The entire room erupted in laughter.

But in June, this stage will come to a close. Sofia will pack her bags and head to Paris for her second year of university. Details of where she will live are not yet public, although the Royal Household is already working on them.
The new academic year begins in September, which also marks the start of Leonor’s university studies, although no official information is available yet regarding that.

Alone, without a net, and with a naturalness that speaks for itself. Paris will be another leap forward. Seeing how she handled this first one, the next one looks good.
