Prince Louis celebrates his 5th birthday with new photos
This Sunday, April 23, Prince Louis will eat cake with his family and his proud parents wanted to dedicate a social media post to him a day early by publishing new portraits.

The first photograph shows Prince Louis enjoying a ride in a wheelbarrow as his mother, the Princess of Wales, takes him through the green meadows. With a beaming smile on his face, the little prince is dressed in a blue sweater over a plaid shirt and shorts. Meanwhile, his mother wears a black and white striped blouse.
In the second photo of Prince Louis, he is seen with a charming smile as he gazes out toward the horizon. The slightly tilted shot allows for a more intimate approach to his light brown eyes.
A tradition is broken with the new portraits of Prince Louis
With these new photos of Prince Louis for his 5th birthday, it breaks with tradition, this time the Princess of Wales has not taken the photographs as she has traditionally done on the previous birthdays of her three children.
Kate has described herself as an “enthusiastic amateur photographer”, and is always in charge of immortalizing family moments like the photograph published last Friday to commemorate what would have been Queen Elizabeth II’s 97th birthday. The princess captured the late monarch with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at Balmoral, days before she died.
