Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía have been separated for months. The heir to the throne entered the Military Academy of Zaragoza in August, while her younger sister went to Wales to study at the prestigious UWC Atlantic College.
Since then, they have only seen each other for a few days at Christmas. Now, at least, there is an estimated date for the long-awaited reunion.
Reunion of princess Leonor and infanta Sofia
According to some Spanish media reports, it will be around Easter when the whole family will be able to reunite at La Zarzuela Palace.
According to Monarquía Confidencial, the daughters of King Felipe and Queen Letizia will begin their Easter vacation on March 28.
“Leonor will travel by helicopter from Zaragoza to Madrid, and Sofia will take a regular flight from Wales,” sources close to the palace have confirmed.
Sofia will enjoy three more days of vacation than her sister, which will allow her to spend more time with her parents and grandmother.
Leonor, on the other hand, will have to return to the academy on April 4, where she is preparing to become the future head of state.
The royal family usually takes advantage of these days to spend time together as a family and also to make some trips, but it seems that this year they will opt for a more relaxed plan for Leonor to rest, given the intense activity she lives at the General Academy of Zaragoza.
A few days ago, the princess surprised with her skills in the military camp, where she underwent an intense physical training.
The royal family will take advantage of these days off to be together and relax.
