Prince Harry’s recent birthday phone call to King Charles sparked optimism for a royal reconciliation.
But controversy arose as private details were leaked to the media. Now a debate rages over who disclosed the contents of the intimate father-son chat.
Who Leaked Prince Harry’s Call to King Charles?
Several British outlets published specifics about Harry’s call, including Princess Meghan’s participation and their children singing ‘Happy Birthday’ on video.
Sources described it as a “notable shift” in the frayed relations.
However, according to Page Six, a palace insider branded Harry a “hypocrite” for allowing the leak despite demanding privacy. One commented, “Harry fights for privacy when it suits him, yet it’s public the minute he calls the King.”
However, Sussex sources flatly denied the leak of the call, the first between Charles and his son in six months, after Harry published his memoirs in which he criticized his stepmother Camilla and spoke of King Charles’ absence as a father.
The last time Harry and Charles were photographed together was at the Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
While Harry seeks to reconnect with his father, Omid Scobie’s upcoming book “Endgame” may jeopardize progress.
And let’s get this nonsense out the way – #ENDGAME is about the current state of the British Royal Family. It’s not “Harry and Meghan’s book”, I’m not “Meg’s pal”, the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days.

Scobie argues that Prince William regards Harry as a “defector,” rendering their relationship unsalvageable despite Charles’ overtures.
The leak’s source remains uncertain. But implications abound for the monarchy’s inner turmoil. Still, Harry’s call represents the hope of eventually overcoming the divide.
