Meghan Markle’s latest podcast episode received a critique from veteran actress Whoopi Goldberg.

On the show ‘Archetypes’ she had Paris Hilton as a guest, there they talked about their experiences on television. Meghan talked about her time on ‘Deal or No Deal’ and it was precisely those statements that caused controversy.

The duchess confessed that she ended up working for that show “to pay the bills” and rejected the way they made her feel. “I was ‘reduced to a bimbo’ while on ‘Deal or No Deal’,” said Meghan Markle.

“I ended up leaving the show. I was so much more than what was objectified on stage. I didn’t like feeling obligated to be all appearances. And little substance. And that’s how I felt the moment I was reduced to this specific archetype.”

Her words generated a wave of reactions including from Oscar-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg, who criticized Meghan for making “other women feel bad.”

“Maybe you don’t want to make other women feel bad because maybe they’re not…you know, maybe they’re trying to make a living too. The objectification might come from you and how you felt about how these women were portrayed,” the actress said.

She also added that any job is good especially for actors who are just starting out in the entertainment world.

“We are artists. When you’re an artist, you embrace acting…sometimes, you’re in a ridiculous costume, sometimes you have a big nose, and this is just what it is,” Goldberg responded.
