Will King Charles see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, in 2026? Harry wants it to happen, and according to sources close to him, he is doing everything possible to make it happen this year.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly eager for his father to travel to California to meet six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet at their home in Montecito.
The last time Charles saw them was in June 2022, during Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Since then, nothing. Harry hasn’t returned to the UK with his children or Meghan because he’s been fighting with the Home Office for years over the police protection he believes he needs.
But now, a new development has changed things: Charles revealed before Christmas that his health has improved, potentially opening the door to a reunion.
The timing could be just right. The King plans to travel to the United States in April with Camilla to meet with Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of American independence.
And while Buckingham Palace hasn’t confirmed anything, the idea of Charles extending his visit to spend time with his grandchildren in California doesn’t sound far-fetched.
A source said Harry has repeatedly made it clear he would love to welcome his father home, and that despite the strained relationship, he remains hopeful that Charles III can forge a genuine bond with Archie and Lilibet.
