With persistent rumors of divorce swirling around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, the couple has come out to deny them and show their strength as a married couple.
This was evident during their recent trip to Canada, where they attended One Year to Go, an event related to the Invictus 2025 Games, an initiative that supports war veterans.
In their public appearances, Harry and Meghan were very affectionate and smiling, walking hand in hand and sharing gestures of companionship.
Meghan also wore the engagement ring Harry gave her in 2017, the same one she stopped wearing a few months ago.
These displays of affection contrast with speculation suggesting a crisis in their relationship, based on Prince Harry’s serious face and his alleged differences with the former Suits actress.
Will Meghan and Harry divorce?
But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not only wanted to demonstrate with facts that their love is still intact, but have also issued a statement through a representative, who told the British newspaper The Mirror, quoted by the portal Whatsnew2day.
‘We have heard time and time again that certain opportunities are decisive for the couple’
‘They’re still here. They are still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite being constantly challenged and criticized. This couple will not break up.’
These words were also Harry and Meghan’s response to the criticism they received for launching a new website with their royal titles and changing the names of their children, Princes Archie and Lilibet.
Some interpreted these changes as a lack of respect for the British royal family, especially since they are forbidden to use it for “business” after they retire from the monarchy.
