The first hours after Diana’s death were somewhat confusing for the siblings, as revealed in the documentary ‘7 Days That Shook’ in which it is exposed that Harry came to question whether his mother had really died, as the first reaction of the family members was to continue with life as normal.

The day of the accident was Sunday and the family went, as usual, to church for the service. No mention of the death was made during the service. As the hours passed, the royals took a more active role regarding Lady Di’s death.

Lord John Stevens, an investigator of the accident, got to talk to William and Harry and revealed how the heirs reacted when he spoke to them for more than an hour.

Stevens stated that they were both very upset about the way his mother had died.

“The rest of the time they asked me questions, which was to be expected because they didn’t know the circumstances of their mother’s death, where and when she had died, what she said,” he commented. “Beyond that, I don’t want to state what the conversations were,” he said.

“What made them angry, they stated publicly, was the paparazzi who were behind the event, chasing the car and inducing it to go 75 miles an hour. They weren’t very happy about that,” he said.
