It seems that Prince William and Princess Kate’s big move is already underway.
After living in Adelaide Cottage since 2022, the couple is preparing to move permanently to Forest Lodge, an 18th-century Georgian mansion near Windsor Great Park.
But beware, it’s not just a move; it’s the construction of their true family home.
What has drawn the most attention is that William and Kate are enhancing the privacy measures on the property. In addition to planting new trees and shrubs, they have also ordered the installation of a fence to protect the direct view of the house.
A source told The Mirror that the goal is to ensure “privacy safeguards.” The couple seems determined to create a refuge where their children can grow up away from prying eyes.
Forest Lodge is not just any residence. We are talking about a property with eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a tennis court, and a value close to 21 million dollars.
The place is being renovated with the princes’ own funds, without public assistance, and under the supervision of the Duchy of Cornwall, which William inherited after his father’s proclamation as king in 2022.
There will be no internal staff, which maintains the normalcy they have always advocated for George, Charlotte, and Louis. The children’s nanny, María Teresa Turrion Borrallo, will live in a separate residence on the same property.
Apart from the luxury of the mansion, there is a key detail that stands out, Forest Lodge is just 30 minutes from Bucklebury, where Kate’s parents live.
Carole and Michael Middleton have been essential figures in raising the children, and having them nearby is undoubtedly a very practical gesture.
The message the princes are sending is clear, they are looking for a comfortable, discreet, and family-friendly home.
