A TikTok video has gone viral, garnering over 444,300 views and 35,900 likes. This is about the relationship between Princes William and Harry and their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
While this isn’t breaking news, time flows differently online, and this kind of emotional content continues to resonate with audiences years later.

The video showcases shared moments between the three, beginning with footage of the grandchildren’s vigil in Westminster Hall in September 2022, days before the Queen’s funeral.
There was a story behind that vigil. Buckingham Palace had originally planned a vigil for Elizabeth’s children, but it was expanded to include her grandchildren, partly so that Harry could wear his military uniform in her honor, acknowledging his service in Afghanistan.

William led the line, with Harry close behind, followed by Beatrice, Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, Viscount Severn, Zara Tindall, and Peter Phillips. Many remember this image as one of the most poignant moments of those days. In the viral video, it appears alongside lighter clips, such as the moment when Elizabeth made William laugh while he stood at attention during his graduation at Sandhurst in 2006.
The two brothers have spoken publicly about their grandmother on various occasions. William did so on Eugene Levy’s Apple TV show, where he acknowledged that he misses her: “particularly being in Windsor — for me Windsor is her.”

After her death, Harry wrote a public farewell that concluded with a phrase that sums it all up: “You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over.” Two different ways of processing the same grief, from two very different perspectives.

Some of the most supportive comments included: “She was a mother to them, too,” “Harry loved her so much,” and “She truly did love her grandchildren.”
