Zendaya amazed everyone at the 2024 Met Gala with not just one, but two incredible looks.
As one of the co-chairs of the event on May 6th, Zendaya wowed everyone with her second outfit of the night. She wore a beautiful black dress with a long train that hugged her figure just right. What’s unique about this dress is that it’s from the same year she was born, back in 1996.
To match the gala’s theme of “The Garden of Time,” Zendaya topped off her look with a massive headpiece made of colorful roses.
Earlier in the evening, Zendaya stunned everyone with another eye-catching gown. This one was by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, styled by her longtime collaborator Law Roach. The dress was detailed with black, blue, and green tulle, with berries and leaves cascading over her waist.
Zendaya didn’t just stop at her outfits; her makeup was equally daring, with smokey eyes and maroon lipstick. She accessorized with striking bird earrings and a large feather fascinator.
Before the Met Gala, Zendaya attended Anna Wintour’s pre-Met dinner wearing a vintage lace gown from Galliano’s collection, featuring a sheer pink floral top embroidered with butterflies.
The Met Gala’s theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” connects to an upcoming exhibit featuring fashion pieces spanning over 400 years of history, including an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth silk satin ball gown.
The exhibition, curated by Andrew Bolton, is divided into three main sections — Land, Sea, and Sky — honoring the natural world.
Zendaya has been a regular at the Met Gala over the years. She first appeared in 2015 wearing a custom dress inspired by the theme “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Her most recent appearance before 2024 was in 2019, wearing a light-up Cinderella gown by Tommy Hilfiger.
Speaking on Live with Kelly and Mark, Zendaya shared her excitement about returning to the Met Gala after a five-year break. She also praised her stylist, Law Roach, whom she’s been working with since she was 14, emphasizing her love for fashion as a form of creativity and expression.
